Stephen (Steve) Julius Kersten passed away July 5th 2014. Steve was born May 24, 1965 in Missoula, Montana to Raquel (Brik) and Frederick Irving Kersten. Steve spent his childhood in Wisconsin and moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University.
Steve was a passionate individual who brought enthusiasm and humor to everything he did. He was an ardent collector of books and ABBA memorabilia, but most importantly a collector of good friends. Like his father, Steve was a naturally gifted teacher and communicator. Steve was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his partner of 25 years Michael Kingery, brother Andrew (Vickie) Kersten and nieces Bethany and Emily, his Uncle Peter and Aunt Linda, cousins Margaret Kersten Randall and Amy Kersten, Karen P. Kersten, the Kingery family, and many other extended family and friends.
