Stacy E. Russell

Stacy Ellen Russell of Dublin, Ohio passed away on May 10th at the Ohio State James Cancer Center. She was born and raised in La Grange Illinois, obtained her BS degree at Western Michigan University and Masters degree at General Motors Institute. After college she worked for General Motors, EDS, and Sterling Commerce, which transitioned through ownership of SBC, ATT, and eventually IBM in the IT discipline and culminating as a Project Manager. She retired in 2019.

Stacy was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ken and Carlene Klarner of Moline, IL. She is survived by her husband and partner of 32 years Bob Russell, her sisters Cim Benson (Chris) of Moline, IL, Stephanie Blohm (Jeff) of Union, IL, stepchildren, Rob Russell III of Dallas, June Tate of Minneapolis, Amy Garges (Bob) of Franklin, TN, eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Known for her drive and exceptional discipline and organization in both business and personal endeavors, she was a true master of the "to do" list in both composition and execution. Her long-time commitment to health and fitness resulted in her maintaining an appearance decades younger than her chronological age. She was also a successful participant in a number of fitness competitions. She was a devoted spouse, proud stepmother, and loving grandmother. She was a selfless individual and the most loyal and caring of friends to many. She, along with her husband enjoyed designing and decorating a number of personal residences and frequent travel. She was always positive and upbeat through her entire four year battle with cancer and optimistic to the end.

As a devoted Christian, she led an exemplary life and has left a very positive and inspiring mark on all those who knew her and loved her so much.

A reception and celebration of life will be held at Schoedinger Funeral Home in Dublin, Ohio on Sunday June 6th from 1PM to 4PM. Inurnment will be at the US Naval Academy columbarium on July 28th at 10:30AM with a reception to follow.
