Serena (Saxton) Rayner, 39, of Westerville, passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 4, 2015 leaving behind her husband Brian and their children Grace Isabelle, Ian Ansteth and Nathaniel Ehrich. Serena was preceded in death by daughter Anne Madeline.
Serena was born March 31, 1976 to Shirley (Aber) Saxton and Ray Saxton, Sr., in Zanesville, where she graduated high school in 1994. She was a wonderful mother and dedicated homemaker. She loved music, reading and her many pets. She was a published author of poetry and a fiction novel “Miss Annabel.”
In addition to her husband and children, and mother, she is survived by two half siblings; brothers-in-law Bob (Becky) Rayner, Jim (Kathy) Rayner and Ron (Crystal) Rayner; sister-in-law Marilyn (Wes) Drake; aunts Joyce Kelly, Carol Arber and Betty McCuen and her pets. Serena was loved by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her father and daughter, she was preceded in death by mother and father-in-law Arlene Starryl and Robert John Rayner; aunts Barb Aber, Polly Longfellow and uncle John Aber.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 9 at 2PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden, 5600 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43213 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
