Ruth Ann Dodson

Ruth Ann Dodson, 83 of Columbus, died Sunday, March 31, 2013. She was born January 21, 1930 in Columbus to the late Lloyd and Janis (Scott) Dodson. She was a graduate of South High School and The Ohio State University School of Nursing where she received her nursing degree and retired after 31 years as Administrative Nursing Supervisor from The Ohio State University Hospital. She was a member of Westerville Senior Center, Gillie Senior Center, a volunteer at Riverside Hospital and the Arthritis Foundation. Ruth was a strong, intelligent, independent and kind woman who enjoyed reading and was an avid OSU fan. She is preceded in death by nephew James Patrick Dodson and survived by brother Lloyd (Helen) Dodson, nephews and niece Jeffrey (Karen) Dodson, Jodi (Irv) Christenson and Douglas Dodson, numerous great nieces and nephews and her favorite pets Miette and Pepper. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-7 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. where a funeral will be held Thursday at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.
