Robert J. "Bob" Drake

Robert J. “Bob” Drake, U.S. Navy Veteran, age 75, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He was born January 28, 1946, in Adrian, Michigan to the late Leland and Catherine Drake. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Lena Drake, who passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. He is survived by his daughter Valerie (John) Sindelar, granddaughter, Aurora Sindelar, siblings; Chuck (Andree) Drake, Patty Knilans and Mary Kay (Evan) Sarvas, along with other dear family and friends. Bob was a graduate of Bishop Hartley High School, Class of 1964. He enlisted in the Navy and then attended Franklin University to further his education. He was a production manager at many different companies including, Union Fork and Hoe, 3M, and Airwaves. Bob had many different hobbies, such as playing golf, traveling to the beach, or rooting for his favorite team the OSU Buckeye Football team. Bob had a sweet tooth like no other, specifically for black jellybeans. He was a bright presence in people’s lives and will be deeply missed. Family will receive friends Friday, December 17th, 2021, from 2PM-4PM at SCHOEDINGER EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5360 E Livingston Ave, with a memorial service to follow at 4PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd.
