Nora Benedetto Land passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the tender age of 97 surrounded by her loving family. Nora was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 15, 1924 to the late Leonard and Carmella Benedetto. Nora lived her entire life in Columbus. Most of her early years were spent in the “Flytown” area of Columbus.
Nora is preceded in death by her husband Lane; sisters: Rosie, Minnie, Louise and Gertrude; brothers John and Joe. She is survived by her daughter Lana (Johnny); three grandchildren: Tonya (Jim) O’Brien, Johnny Temple and Tasha (Brady) Briggs; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; her two special nieces, Carm Benedetto Drayer and Pauline Fancelli Rushia; brother in law, Jerry Land and his daughter Lynda Braxton.
SCHOEDINGER NORTH at 5554 Karl Road, is honored to serve the Land family. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:30pm on Monday, January 31, 2022, with a reception to immediately follow. Guests are respectfully asked to wear masks while in the funeral home.
Mr. and Mrs. Land will be privately buried in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice or Nationwide Children’s Hospital Behavioral Center in her memory.
