Mike Patton

John Michael "Mike" Patton, age 68 of Powell, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 surrounded by family. Mike was born and raised in Columbus, son of Sarah Patton and the late Richard "Dick" Patton. Mike graduated from Grandview High School, Class of 1963, received his bachelors from Ohio Wesleyan University, Class of 1967, and Masters from Oberlin College, Class of 1968. Mike was a very loving, outgoing and understanding man. He loved O.S.U. athletics, his pets, time spent with family as well as time spent on the golf course. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Mary Patton; mother, Sarah "Sally" Patton; daughters, Lauren, Jaimee, and Sara Patton; son, Ben Rogers; brother, Tom Patton; sister, Debbie Cline; and faithful pets, Baxter, Zardo, and Laika. Memorial service will be held at 7 P.M. Thursday, March 13, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., where family will receive friends from 4 P.M. until time of service.
