Michael Carl Bergman, 76, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018. He had been battling Parkinson's disease for 35 years. He was born April 25, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Carl and Vivian (Holcher) Bergman. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed with the FDIC for 21 years and later retired from the State of Ohio Commerce Department. Mike adored animals and cherished the time that he was able to spend with his family. He was an avid traveler and sports enthusiast. He was a big Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan. He also was a collector of stamps. Mike is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary Ann Bergman; son, Mark Bergman; and his brother, Peter Bergman. A memorial service celebrating Michael's life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna.
