Mary Elizabeth Murray, age 61, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022. Mary was born in Pensacola, Florida to Mike and Carolyn Herrington Murray. She lost her mother at the age of 2 and her father remarried and the family moved to Upper Arlington, Ohio. She graduated from the U. of Alabama after graduating from high school. Roll Tide! She married Clair Tosino in Columbus, Ohio at St. Agatha Church. Two children resulted from this union, Evan and Carrington. They quickly became the center of her life, and she always considered them her greatest joy and accomplishment. Her granddaughter, Tilly, stole her heart and delighted her with each and every visit.
She had a lifelong love for all things beach and ocean and dreamed of retiring in her beloved Florida. Her abiding faith and loving spirit spilled over into everything she did. She loved many of her clients at Merrill Lynch and served them as if they were family. She recently involved herself in the CASA program reaching out to children in need of support. She was patient and loving to her fur babies Bailey, Manny, Rue, and Layla over the years and cared for each of them as she did for her family. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She lived her life with great enthusiasm and joy and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Evan and his significant other Kaylyn Mendez and Granddaughter Tilly Tosino; her daughter Carrington and her husband Connor Smith, of Columbus, OH; Sisters, Eileen (Dan) Painter of Columbus, OH, Patricia (John) Hail of Dubuque, IA, Dr. Inga Talbert Pine of Highland, CA; beloved nieces, nephews, cousins; her beloved Tosino family; and best friends, Barbara Peabody, Cindy Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Doris Murray; her sister, Margaret; her niece, Allison Painter; nephew, Aaron Painter; and her brother-in-law, Dr. Joe Pine.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 13, 2022 at St. Brendan The Navigator Church of Hilliard, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, Ohio 43026.
