Mary Lynne Burleson

Mary Lynne Walter Burleson passed away on October 29, 2024, in Upper Arlington, Ohio at age 76. Mary Lynne leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Gene Burleson, and their three children, Megan (Adam) Seitchik, of Bexley, OH, and their children Oliver and Maren; Ryan (Laura) Kelleher, of Garden City, NY, and their children Hayes and Wynne; and Katie (Nick) Twining, of Upper Arlington, OH, and their children Max and Beck.

Mary Lynne was born on February 3, 1948, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Robert C. and Elaine D. Walter. She was the beloved third child, growing up alongside her siblings Stephanie Darling, Robert D. Walter, and Monika Wyborny. After graduating from Watterson High School, Mary Lynne pursued her studies at The Ohio State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. Her drive and determination led her to become a successful businesswoman, founding Encore Services, a product marketing company that grew to operate on a national level.

Mary Lynne’s heart turned toward what she cherished most—her family. Whether caring for her parents or doting on her children and grandchildren, she poured her love into every relationship. She traveled often to New York, Houston, and Australia, celebrating life’s milestones with those she held dear.

Mary Lynne was the heartbeat of her home, a place filled with warmth, love, and incredible food. She delighted in gathering friends and family around her table, creating gourmet meals and stunning tablescapes that reflected her vibrant spirit. Her pecan rolls became legendary, as did her sumptuous paella brimming with shrimp, lobster, scallops, and filet. Every gathering was a reflection of her generosity and joy in bringing people together.

Her legacy lives on not just in the memories she created but in the love she so freely shared with all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 4:30-6:30 PM on Monday, November 4, 2024, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221.
