Martha Jane Bandy

Martha Jane Bandy, age 87 of Columbus, passed away May 29, 2012. Martha was born on June 8th, 1924, and grew up in Bremen, Ohio, daughter of the late Erwin and Mary Young. Also preceded in death by her daughter, Phylliss Bandy. Martha graduated from Rushcreek Memorial High School, Class of 1942, White Cross Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1945, and Capital University, Class of 1965. World traveling was Martha’s passion and she traveled to all of the continents in the world, even Antarctica. She will be greatly missed by her children, Erwin (Saundra) Bandy, Frank Bandy, Carol Davis, and Ellen (William) Homeister; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Keith (Karen) Young, and sister Kathryn (Jayson) Clark; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. Friday, June 22, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E.
