Linda Lee Johnson

Linda Lee Mayhew Johnson, age 62, Dublin OH, went to heaven peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at The OSU James Cancer Hospital. Born in Wheeling WV, to the late Paul Robert Mayhew and Helen Charlotte Thomas-Mayhew Duvall. She also joins her infant son, Brent Christopher Johnson.

Survived by her loving husband and best friend, Michael “Mick” Johnson, of 42 wonderful years. Along with her loving children, Michael and Bridget; and her adorable grandson Wesley Johnson.

She is also survived by a sister, Paulene Mayhew Farmer (John), and three brothers; James Mayhew (Kathy), Robert Mayhew, and Danny Mayhew (Nadine). Along with many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, nana, aunt, niece, and friend. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Columbus OH. Linda had a kind, strong heart that welcomed everyone. She was the boss of the household, the rock of our close knit family. We would like to thank the team at The OSU James for the awesome care and compassion she and our family received during her illness.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, 43085. Mass of Christian Burial, 10 am, Thursday, April 16, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6399 Smokey Row Road, Columbus, 43235. Father Mark Summers, Celebrant. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, C/O The OSU Development Fund, 1480 West Lane Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43221 in Linda’s memory.
