Lee Tharp, Jr., age 82, of Columbus, died Monday, August 7, 2017, at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. He is a veteran of the U. S. Navy and had a Masters Degree from Xavier University. Lee retired as principal of Commercial Point Elementary School. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, and grandson, William Bosen. He is survived by his children, Timothy N. (Charlie) Tharp and Judith L. (John) Bosen; grandchildren, Virginia (Anthony) Bosen, Daniel (Kelly) Tharp, Benjamin (Kearston) Tharp, and Shane Young. Friends will be received from 5-7:00 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at HOPE and HEART FUNERAL HOME by SCHOEDINGER, 3030 West Broad Street.
