Laurie Weber

Laurie Weber (1952-2020) Laurie leaves behind a legacy of loving family and friends built from a lifetime of compassion and love. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary P. and is survived by her sons Gary R. and Steven, daughter in laws Jacqueline and Rebekah, granddaughters Ella and Mariah, mother Patricia, sister Lynne, and brother David. Laurie was a devoted wife and mother which lead her to volunteer in the classrooms and with the PTOs of the schools her children attended, chartering a Cub Scout pack at Chapman Elementary, volunteering with school committees to pass levies and bonds (including the successful bond that lead to the building of Scioto High School), and serving on the Dublin City School Board from 1997 to 2001. During her time on the Board she helped oversee the construction of Jerome High School and served on the board of Tolles Technical Center. As a Christian disciple she taught Sunday school with her husband at Linworth United Methodist Church, would assemble care packages for those working hard during the holiday season, and do "little acts of kindness" the rest of the year (such as buying the meals of people behind her in a drive-thru). The world that knew her hurts and the world that didn't misses her positive impact. A celebration of her life will be held on August 13th, 2021.
