Laura Jean Cooper Morgan Heaton

Laura Jean Cooper Morgan Heaton, 97, of Columbus, Ohio, departed this life on December 27, 2020. Born in Bourbon County, Kentucky, she was the last surviving child of the late David Spears Cooper and Dolly Boreland Cooper. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by husbands Coburn Morgan and Ralph Heaton, brothers David Cooper and Robert Cooper, and sisters May Cooper Howard, Agnes Cooper Stevens, and Patty Cooper Prather.

Jean is survived by son Rodney and his wife Kathy Morgan of Ostrander, Ohio, daughter Pamela Morgan Gorman of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, grandsons Andrew Morgan, Coburn (McKenzie) Morgan and, granddaughters Lora Morgan-Clark and Amanda Taylor, great-granddaughters Morgan, Katherine, Mackenzie, and Isabella, greatgrandsons Patrick, Matthew, Preston, Austin, Gene, Jakob and one great-great grandson, Elijah. In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Jean was an avid gardener, loved sharing her flowers with friends and neighbors, and was an active member of several community clubs and organizations. She loved her family, and especially loved spending time with her sisters, May, Agnes, and Patty.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 18, from 4:00-5:00 pm at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221 and a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 23, 11:00 a.m. at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home in Paris, Kentucky.
