Kevin Forrest Sparks, Sr., sunrise November 11, 1952; sunset June 13, 2021. Kevin, also known as Budgy, was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Louis Charles Sparks and Genevieve Marie (Deskins) Sparks. He attended City High School in Baltimore, Maryland and then went on to proudly serve our country as a U.S. Marine during the Vietnam Era from 1970-1972. Kevin loved to cook (and eat!); he was best known for his crab cakes, ribs, and soul food. He enjoyed watching movies and all daytime TV shows; the more dramatic the better! He loved playing video games as the infamous blackfire721 and he was electronic savvy. He will be missed for his epic storytelling (you all know he fought Bruce Lee, right?). He was a good listener and the best Grandpa ever. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Sparks; children, Angela Sparks, Marcellus Bell, Aleicheanna (Shaun) Andoll, Kevin Sparks, Jr., Christopher (Kimberly) Sparks, Calvin (Bree) Sparks, and Alexandra Sparks; grandchildren, Makayla Bell, Soleya Andoll, Anaya Andoll, SJ Andoll, Asaun Andoll, Szymirah Andoll, Marcellus Sparks, Zoe Sparks, Jaylen Sparks, King Sparks, Aiden Sparks, and Atlas Sparks; brothers, Dana, Duane, Kim, and Kenny Sparks; sisters, Cynthia, Karen, Marla, and Carlette; as well as many extended family members. Visitation will be held 9 am - 10 am Friday, June 25, 2021 at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will be held at 10 am. Interment to follow at 1:00pm at Dayton National Cemetery. Please visit www.schoedinger.com to extend condolences or to share a favorite memory of Kevin.
