Justin Anthony Douglas, known as “JD” to many, was born on April 18, 1989 in Columbus, Ohio to American born Kimberly Tyson and Jamaican born Adrian Douglas. Justin is survived by his children, Khai Douglas, Justin Douglas Jr., and Olympia Douglas; parents, Kimberly Tyson and Adrian Douglas; sisters, Adrienne Douglas, Isha Douglas, Zyon Douglas, Adrianna Douglas, and Paris Douglas; brothers, Kelton Sims, Kylan Halfhill, and London Douglas; maternal grandparents, Frank Tyson and Donnie Tyson; aunts, Chaundra Tyson, Dian Salmon, Remena Douglas, Nichole Douglas, Tanya Douglas, and Denise Douglas; uncles, Dion Douglas, Marlon Douglas, and Marvin Douglas; first cousins, Jordan Tyson, Akeem Brooks, Sade Brooks, Kameron Henry, Kenloy Henry, Jaelen Henry, Hasani Laylor, Hamadi Laylor, Tahan Laylor, Kijani Brooks, Zeta Douglas, Ambrianna Douglas, Moya Douglas, Amanda Henry-McIntosh, Shanoy Douglas, Justin Douglas, Kaylinn Douglas, Kiersten Douglas, Isaiah Douglas, Kyra Douglas, and Kendra Douglas; his beloved French Bulldog, Cali Bud, and a host of family and friends who will always love Justin and cherish memories shared with him. Justin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lela and Ronald Douglas; paternal great-grandparents, Lena and Luther Douglas; maternal great-grandparents, Roy B. and Geraldine Tyson, and Vesta Moss. A graduate of Eastmoor Academy, Class of 2007, Justin also attended The Ohio State University where he continued to excel and became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, earning the distinction of the “Rock” of his line. Justin was a force! He was an honor student, stellar athlete, leader, and fierce competitor. An avid reader who was always seeking knowledge, Justin was extremely intelligent and loved to share his knowledge and insight with his family and friends. Justin loved a good debate and would often force his competitors to secede. Justin was also a diehard Ohio State football fan and loved cheering on his Buckeyes win or lose. Justin’s other hobbies and interests included listening to music, watching sports, traveling, playing cards and board games, fishing, and spending quality time with family and friends. Justin was honest and loyal. Justin loved hard and was a devoted and proud father who loved and adored his children and always did all he could to make sure they knew and felt how much he loved them. Justin was also a loving and devoted son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Though his life on this earth was cut short and he is sorely missed by many, Justin was and still is God’s child, a king, a warrior, and a survivor whose life journey and relentless determination, strength, and courage is a testament to Jehovah’s mercy and grace that will help heal the hearts and provide strength to those who knew and genuinely loved him. Justin will be laid to rest in The Wilson Family Plot in Pratville District, Manchester, Jamaica, West Indies.
