Joseph Jerome Vesco, age 63, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on June 12, 2018. Born on March 8, 1955, in Jeannette, PA, to the late Jake and Lillian Vesco. Joe was hired as an engineer at Wright Patterson Airforce Base in Dayton. On his 25th birthday, Joe founded his own company working with developing computer software. He continued his education at Franklin University, earning his MBA in 1995. As CEO of the company, Information Works, he won many awards, including Small Business Man of the Year for the State of Ohio in 2003. In spite of physical challenges, Joe ran over 12 marathons. He was active in Columbus Rotary and enjoyed spending his time participating in various rotary projects, volunteering to work with the Special Olympics, and working at summer camps for children with diabetes. Joe spent the last year of his life at Friendship Village of Columbus making many new friends as well as being actively involved in committees to help improve the facility for its residents. Joe inspired everyone who met him with his serenity, compassion, spirituality, and corny jokes. He will be truly missed by all those whose lives he touched. Preceded in death by his parents; Kim Vesco. Survived by his wife, Sharon Vesco; children, Sean (Ronni) Pruitt, Bianca Vesco, Jessie Vesco, Lilly Vesco; grandson, Quentin Pruitt; brother, John (Sandy) Vesco; nephew, Jonathan (Jenn) Vesco; and many beloved cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Joe's life will be held on Saturday June 16, 2018 at 3pm at Friendship Village of Columbus, 5800 Forest Hills Blvd, Ohio 43231.
