John M. Foor, 75, of Dublin, died Monday, May 30, 2011. He was born October 8, 1935 in Pleasantville, OH to the late Hubert and Hazel Foor. John proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1958. He worked as an electronic technician for Rockwell International and retired after many years. John served as a deacon at Maize Road Baptist Church, as well as at Karl Road Baptist Church, where he is currently a member. John had a strong Christian faith and was a dedicated, progressive provider to his family. John loved having family in his presence, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sisters, who were very dear to him, Esther Schimp and Sally Jenkins. John will be missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Joyce; son, John Stephen Foor, M.D (Lori), of Powell; daughter, Rachel Pappas (Michael J. Pappas, Colonel, U.S. Army), of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren, Joshua, Benjamin, Hannah, and Sarah Foor, and Katherine, Nicholas, and Joseph Pappas. Family will receive friends Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 6-8 p.m., where the funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N.
