John William Dill

John William Dill, 80, of Worthington, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at home. He was born July 17, 1931 in Columbus to the late Louis Augustus and Lorna Belle Dill. He graduated from Linden McKinley and attended The Ohio State University. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He retired from Columbia Gas and was recently employed in the garden center at Walmart in Lewis Center. He enjoyed music and played the guitar and sang. He is preceded in death by a sister, Jeanine Tollifson. He is survived by his loving wife Julia whom he married June 26, 1955, daughter Kim Dill (Amy Crawford) and son John Dill, three grandchildren Louis Dill, Olive and Harry Crawford, sister Joyce Stumpf, brother-in-law Jerry Tollifson. Family will receive friends Sunday from 4-7 PM at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of I-270) where a funeral service will be held Monday at 10 AM.
