Joe R. Roper, age 85 of Grove City passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Monterey Care Center. Joe was born in Anna, TX to the late Leslie Joe and Frances Louise Roper. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Joe had a long career in auto parts sales and retired from DCSC. He was a member of the Grove City Elks, BPOE # 37 and Westgate Lodge FandAM #623. In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Glenna. He is survived by his children, Julie (John Hackworth) Friesen, and Steve Roper; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends 4-7 PM Thursday at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel 3920 Broadway where the service will be held 10 AM Friday, December 28. Pastor Dave Thomas officiating.
