Jeanne M Kiser

Jeanne was born to Gertrude and A. Lee Kiser in Dayton, Ohio. Her brother's name was also Lee, and when he grew up Jeanne always had to ask people who called which Lee they wanted... the old one or the young one! (She loved to tell that story.) Jeanne graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in Dayton on May 28th, 1959, attended The Ohio State University and graduated from Miami-Jacobs Junior College of Business in Dayton on June 30th, 1963. She spent her working life at Augsburg Press, Trinity Seminary, and Ohio State University in the plant pathology department. While she was at Trinity she met Elaine and Renato Siewert from Brazil who became life-long friends of the Kiser family. Rafaela, their daughter, was Jeanne's goddaughter. Jeanne was very proud of her and loved all the Siewerts.

Jeanne enjoyed traveling with her friends and took cruises, visited Alaska, The Holy Land, Germany, and The Netherlands. She took a lot of photos wherever she went and collected souvenirs, too. She had many fond memories of those times. She gathered friends around her wherever she went, especially her special friends from Trinity Lutheran Church who regularly met for lunch. Jeanne always sang in the church choir and would sing solos whenever she could. The choir at Clinton Heights Lutheran Church depended on her light, tuneful soprano. Her life revolved around those Thursday night rehearsals and Sunday morning services. She was also an important member of her WELCA circle and attended conventions, Central Ohio WELCA retreats and spring gatherings.

Jeanne leaves behind her church family, the Siewert/Bottom family, special cousin, Reinhold "Butch" Wuwert and beautiful pet cat, Mona. Thank you, Michelle and Tom Walton, for adopting Mona into your family. Jeanne passed away just four days before her eighty-first birthday, which is too bad because she absolutely loved her birthday and always enjoyed a celebratory lunch or dinner, presents and a big chocolate dessert.

Please join the family for a memorial service at Clinton Heights Lutheran Church, 15 Clinton Heights Avenue, Columbus, OH, 43202, on Thursday, May 26th at 11:00am. Pastor Ralph Wolfe will officiate and Anne Saylor will play the organ.
