Jane R. Ewart

Jane R. Ewart, 94, went into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. She was born in Chillicothe, OH to the late Walter and Emma Reis. Jane is survived by her loving daughters, Janice E. (Glen) Monks and Peggy Ewart; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jenna (Jeff), Julie, Thomas (Michelle), Kimberly (David), Elizabeth (Dave), Matthew (Laurelei), Gwendolyn and Valerie; 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Norma. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years of marriage, Willard Ewart; son, Ronald “Bud” Ewart; brothers, John (Jack), Donald, Robert, and Lawrence and sisters, Ruth and Dorothy. Jane most loved being around her family, but she also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, going to the beach and playing golf. Jane volunteered for the Church Library, the Elementary School, the Wildlife Sanctuary, the Humane Society, and Meals on Wheels. She was also known to have a weak spot for anything chocolate. Family and friends may call 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, September 4 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., (at Beecher Rd.) Gahanna, OH 43230, where the funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Services will also be held in Florida at The Eastern Gate Memorial Home, 1985 W. 9 Mile Rd., Pensacola, FL 32534..
