Ilda “Babe” Rothgeb, age 82, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010. She was born to the late William and Elizabeth Craft in Millstone, Kentucky on July 30, 1927. She retired from Doctors West Hospital after several years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Rothgeb, and 13 siblings. Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Vern Rothgeb; children, Brenda (Owen) Piatt, Linda (Bill) Bauer, and Daniel Rothgeb; nine grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Babe will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who never met a stranger.
