He was born on August 29, 1948 and is proceeded in death by his parents James & Rilla Davis; Wife Carol Davis; brothers Robert Davis and Joe Davis; grandson Hayden Davis Jr. and great granddaughter Logann Davis.
He leaves behind his sons Hayden (Shelley) Davis, Chris (Chonda) Davis; grandchildren Brandon (Ciera) Davis, Devin (Sam) Rodgers, Isaac Davis and Elijah Davis; great grandchildren Virginia, Benjamin and Baby Rogers, Allyson, Brandon, Cianna and Donavan Davis, Kayley Nutt, and many nieces and nephews.
He served in the U.S. Marines and fought in the Vietnam War. He worked in various jobs throughout the years until his health forced him to retire early.
Hayden was a “unique” soul. He was outspoken, sometimes sarcastic and firm with many opinions. He was headstrong and determined to get his point across. He loved to pick and joke with family and friends alike. Sometimes, his aggressive personality could anger the calmest person however he could bring laughter to any room. He was a generous person and his relationship with Jesus would lead him and his wife to travel and pray for a lot of people over the years. He made a lot of connections and friendships along the way.
Friends and family will gather for visitation on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Schoedinger – Hilltop at 3030 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Schoedinger – Hilltop at 3030 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 with Tom Underwood officiating. Burial to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
