Gary Robert Graff, age 53 of Columbus, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2010. Gary was born and raised in Columbus, youngest son of the late Gilson and Laura Graff. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Graff. He graduated from Lucas County Community Classes and went on to work for over 30 years with ARC East Industries in Columbus. During Gary’s career, he achieved numerous recognitions and awards. Gary participated in the Special Olympics, placing first at the state level in Track and Field. He also placed first as a handler in Dog Obedience Training at the Ohio State Fair. A man of eclectic tastes, Gary enjoyed music, classic TV programming, and professional wrestling. Most of all, Gary truly loved his family and being a part of all of their lives. He captured the hearts of many with his sense of humor and charming personality. He enjoyed teasing and kidding around with friends and family. He will be missed by his siblings, Susan Moran and David (Deborah) Graff; nephews and nieces, Michael (Aileen) and Matthew (David Marin) Moran, Amanda (Brad) Lister, and Evan Graff; great nephews and nieces, Patrick, Alexander, Keegan, and Caroline Moran, and Abigail, Andrew, and Ainsley Lister; uncles, Gordon (Barbara) Anderson and Wendell (Janice) Anderson; dear friends and house mates, Steve Trouten, Tom Knight, and Martin Yetes; numerous cousins; and many other dear friends and co-workers. A Memorial Service Celebrating Gary’s life will be held at 6 P.M. Friday, July 2, 2010, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 4:30 until time of service. Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, 8029 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg. Gary’s family would like to specially thank all of the direct care givers and wonderful doctors and nurses that Gary and his family had the opportunity to connect with over the years.
