He was born March 19, 1913 in Wayne Township to Walter and Bessie (Ebenhack) Dunlap.
Except for his time in the military and a 2 year stay in Alaska, Frank spent his entire life in his beloved Wayne Township.
Frank graduated from Circleville High School in 1932 and had completed 2 years at The Ohio State University when he was called into World War II. He served in North Africa, Italy, Germany and France and came home to farm and work in business with his brother, Leo.
When he returned from his military service, Frank married the former Grace Busic who died January 18, 1998.
In 2012 and 2013 he was the oldest living veteran in Pickaway County and was very humbled to ride in the Memorial Day Parade and be honored in a ceremony at Forest Cemetery.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dr. Leo Dunlap.
He is survived by Mrs. Donajean Metzger, Dr. Tom Ebenhack, Myron Metzger, Leo Metzger, John and Bridget Busic, Elaine Busic and Claire Busic.
Frank is also survived by good friends Don and Wilma Davis, Roger and Kathy Davis, Kenny and Deborah Davis, Les and Debbie Casto and Carl and Mary Baker as well as many wonderful friends and neighbors.
We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Pickaway Manor and Berger Hospice for their care of Frank.
Per Frank’s request there will be no funeral service or viewing. There will be a graveside service 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 9, 2013 at Forest Cemetery with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating and military service provided by AMVETS Post #2256 Honor Guard.
