Eddie Dwight Lomax, 81, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Warren, OH, passed away on February 24, 2017. Born on January 26, 1936 in Flatwoods, Tennessee, he is preceded in death by parents John and Martha (Tune) Lomax, and his six older siblings. He was a member of the Perry County High School Vikings basketball team that won three consecutive Tennessee state titles. He retired from Packard Electric, a division of General Motors, after 40 years of employment, where he received numerous awards for engineering and design suggestions to the cutting machines he operated. Upon retirement, he moved to Florence, AL and was an active member of the Killen Church of Christ where he developed several close friendships. He was a dedicated, loyal and loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and gardening. He is survived by his wife of more than 58 years, Anita (Gillespie) Lomax; two children, Lisa (Jeff) Norris of Columbus, OH, and Gregory (Brenda) Lomax of St. Augustine, FL; four grandchildren, Manning and Audrey Norris and Ydalis and Sophia Lomax; and numerous nieces and nephews.
