David James Levingston, age 59, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010. He was born in Columbus on April 11, 1951, to the late James and Audrey Levingston. David served our country in the US Marine Corp and was stationed in Japan. After his service, he worked as a fork lift operator, and he was an usher at the Ohio State Football games for 15 years. David was an avid Ohio State fan, and he also enjoyed fishing, movies, and going out to eat. He loved children, and he treated the kids from his neighborhood as his own. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. David is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carmen Levingston; siblings, Glen Levingston, Philip Levingston, and Brenda Contizano; aunt, Shirley Montenaro; special friends and neighbors, Elsie and Roger Ward; and several cousins and other family members from England and California. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Mildred Large, and several aunts and uncles. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2010, at SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Family Church, 584 W. Broad St., with Fr. Kevin Lutz Celebrant.
