David "Dave" Neal Hardy

David “Dave” Neal Hardy, Age 70, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at his residence on Friday, November 4, 2022. He was born on July 10, 1952 in Columbus, Ohio to John and Dorothy Hardy. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his girlfriend: Lois Fleming, siblings: John Ellis Hardy, Kenny Hardy, Barbara Blanton, Gary Hardy, Saundra K Hardy, Charles Hardy, Robert Hardy, Bill Hardy and his beloved Grand-Dog Kira.

Dave is survived by his siblings: Linda (Bill) Charles, Janet Colman, Judy (John)Young, Jim (Toni) Hardy, Merle (Linda) Hardy. His Children, David (Lisa) Staten, Wendi Hardy (James Stanley), Nicole (Butch) Mattox, grandchildren: Joshua (Abbie) Hardy, Johnathan (Kyger) Mackie-Hardy, Shawn Pitts, Nikka Hardy, Jake & Mckenna Staten, great-grandchildren: Jewelia Hardy, James Pitts, Messiah Curtis, girlfriend’s children: Shelli McMurray, Lana Groce, and Clarence (Nuke) Neace.

Dave Attended Franklin Heights High school and was an Electrician by trade, working with his brothers at COE Electric for many years. He was later Plant Supervisor at Beulah Park and did auto painting throughout his life.

He will be most remembered by those who loved him as a talented singer & and self-taught musician. Dave played guitar and sang in a local band in his younger years along with his brother, nephew Johnny, and friends as Ken Hardy & The Jefferson Ramblers. Later in life, Dave enjoyed serenading the crowd during Karaoke nights around town, up until the weekend before his passing. He also enjoyed playing cards & socializing with his many friends. He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, football, especially the Buckeyes, visiting the Smokey Mountains and traveling.

Dave was a wonderful son, sibling, father, uncle, and friend that would help in a moments notice. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Visitation will be held from 4PM to 5PM at the Heart & Hope Funeral Home by Schoedinger, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204 on Friday December 2, 2022 with the funeral service starting at 5PM.
