Cheryl Elaine Papp

Cheryl Elaine Papp, age 69, passed peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at home. She was born September 21, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Henry Otto and Virginia C. Walls. Cheryl was a 1962 West High School graduate, worked for the Ohio State Bar Association and was a member of the Amvets Ladies Auxiliary, Post #1928. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ray "Butch" Papp; granddaughters Whitney Papp and Renee Davis; sister, Connie Kirk and brother-in-law Jim Kirk; sisters-in-law Shirley Scranton and Bud, and Darlene Crowe; many nieces and nephews and her life-long best friend of 60 years who helped her throughout her sickness, Carolyn Nance and husband Allen. She was one of the happiest people that you could ever meet. This sickness was so unexpected. She has been reunited with her son Scott Papp. Family will welcome friends from 2-5pm Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204 and from 12-1pm Monday, June 2, 2014 where services will begin at 1pm; interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery; Rev. Lee Anne Reat, officiating.
