What an amazing woman!  I will always think of her dancing and how she shared her love of dance with all of us!  So many memories from taking lessons in her basement and so many great old songs: Pink Panther, Alley Cat, the Indian Dance, the Chair Dance, Strike Up the Band, When You're Smiling and so many others! We were all lucky to know and be taught by her.  I am sorry for your loss and you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  We lived next door to your family on Reinhard Avenue in the late 60's and early 70's.  She taught our daughters dancing for several years.  She was always a bubbly person and you could tell she loved teaching children.  She will be missed in the community.  Jeanne Scharte and family.

Grandma Charlotte always had a smile on her face and shared her love of dance with everyone. I have so many memories of her growing up closely with the family. My most recent memory was on red white and boom 2013 seeing dancing seniors downtown. I instantly text her granddaughter( my best friend), Amanda, to let her know it made me think of Grandma Charlotte. It just so happened Amanda was with her at that moment, she told her about it and text me that it brought tears to her eyes. Grandma Charlotte share the joy of dance with many from ages 2 to probably 102. You are missed, loved, and have left an amazing legacy. RIP Grandma Charlotte.

Ronnie and I send our love and condolences to all of Charlotte's family. Cheryl is like a sister to me and through her I got to have Charlotte in my life. I am priviledged to call her my friend. She was my "pen pal" and I loved sharing my happy times with her. I will miss making little things to keep her warm and sending them to her. Grandma Char, where do I even begin... Some of my most fond memories with you have to be Saturday dancer lessons as a kid. You would always take Ali and I through the Wendy's drive through and order one side salad with light Italian and a biggie fry. My absolute favorite part of dance aside from getting bubblegum and and hot tamales after having to behave throughout the lesson and biting the other kids, was just spending that time with you, after all time is the only thing you can't replace. Your sense of humor was superb, you would have a snarky retort to any smart comment I would make. Your smile was unlike any other, it brightened up even the darkest places. Your ability to share your passion with anyone and everyone who was willing to watch and participate was just amazing. You have taught me to chase fervently and without relent my dreams and to always do what makes me happy because that's what matters. You will be greatly missed and The Lord has gained one of the best women, teachers and grandmothers the world has ever known. I love you with all my heart, I know you're in heaven dancing with the angles and watching over all of us you left behind. I can't say goodbye but I will say, see you later. All my love,

I am so sorry for your loss.  Charlotte was an absolute treasure.  Having her in my life has been a wonderful gift, one that words can't adequately express.  She was one of my very first teachers in life and such a kind, loving, and talented one at that.  I loved learning from her...dancing in her basement, in her studio, at the fair and other special events, and of course, on recital stages over the years.  And the highlight of the recital was when we all got to watch HER dance!  She was always smiling, always encouraging.  She so obviously loved dancing and teaching and her students.  I'm thankful for her as a teacher, grandma-figure, friend, and mentor.  She taught me so much and blessed me in so many ways.  Such an amazing woman with an enduring legacy.

Charlotte was an incredible inspiration to my life. I have what feels like a zillion memories of and with her, and I really felt like she was another Grandma to me. Some of my favorites are spending the night at her house and going to dance class with her on Saturday mornings, going to Donatos on Tuesday evenings after class, traveling to funeral homes to dance - and getting to assist with the people there (bringing them to the performance space). The way she smiled when she danced was the best...she could light up the room...and of course - it wasn't a performance if you didn't have enough lipstick on! I will never forget her and I feel blessed to have known her and have her in my life for such a length of time.
