Carl S. Wyand, Jr.

Carl S. Wyand, Jr., age 82, of New Albany, Ohio passed away Monday, October 31, 2022. He was born on February 20, 1940 in Hagerstown, Maryland to the late Carl S. Wyand, Sr. and Edith (Welty) Wyand. Carl retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force with over 20 years of military service and then DCSC with an additional 20 years of civil service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, studying American History, gardening, bike riding, taking road-trips, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his siblings, Earl Wyand, Viola (Wyand) Betts, and Donald Wyand. He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine (Andries) Wyand; children, Carl K. Wyand and Sandra (Wyand) Muncy; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Wyand; grandchildren, Meagan, Courtney, Jacob, Zachary, Olivia, Angela, Elizabeth, Ethan, and Isaac; great-granddaughter, Madison; and sister, Carletta (Wyand) Sauble. A graveside service with military honors will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Jersey Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or to the Salvation Army.
