Brenda Bryant Vance joined her beloved husband Wince Vance in heaven on Thursday, June 10, 2021. She was born on October 1, 1940 in Bypro, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Eli and Beatrice Bryant. She was raised in Hi Hat, Kentucky and enjoyed getting to grow up with her Newman cousins, who lived next door. She was very proud of her family and her Kentucky heritage.
Brenda was a sweet and caring soul who deeply loved her family and friends. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed music, dancing and reading her Bible. In recent years she really enjoyed reminiscing about where she grew up and went to school. Brenda always looked forward to calls from her special "sister-in-love" Gil Lutz, who would listen to her for hours. Brenda's huge heart was shared with many people through the years. She would "adopt" Marcia and Kim's friends and love them as if they were her own. This continued in recent years as she would "adopt" her favorite caregivers and nurses when she moved to assisted living. They affectionately referred to her as "Momma B".
Brenda was so proud and blessed to become a Great Grandmother(G-Nana) to her beautiful Lexington Rae(Lexi). She loved getting to spend time with Lexi. Would always ask about all of her adventures, so she could share those stories with friends and family.
In addition to her husband and parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her baby sister, Mallie Rose Bryant, her brother Gary Bryant and half-brothers Bill Lewis, and Richard Lewis. She will be greatly missed by her loving daughters, Marcia DeWitt and Kim (Brent) Phillips; grandsons, Jordan (Jess) and Dylan (Rachel) DeWitt; great granddaughter, Lexi; siblings, Roger and Kenneth Bryant; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and outlaws.
