Alicia Tracy Castleberry, age 54, Sunrise February 2, 1957, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2011 after a long battle with Lymphoma. She was a devoted mother, loving wife, and a child of God. Alicia is survived by her loving husband, Mark and beloved daughter, Jessica; mother, Lee Taylor nee Gulling; brother, Stuart Morgan (Sally); sister, Robin Morgan; sister, Wendy Morgan Lee (Kevin); mother and father-in-law, Amanda and Noel Castleberry; step-mother, Janet Morgan. Also surviving is step-sister, Kathy Carroll, step-brothers, Mark Hedges and Jim Hedges; nieces, Pyria and Anjulie Rao; nephews, Brian and Scott Morgan and Joshua Lee. Alicia is predeceased by her father, Arthur Morgan. Alicia was always a good student in school and was in an honor's program at Whetstone High School and at Upper Arlington High school where she graduated in 1975. She was also in the honor's program at The Ohio State University. She participated in the singing chorus of Vaudvillities. Alicia spent two years abroad in Spain coming back to OSU and graduating with majors in Spanish and French. She had an independent spirit and chose to wear a Spanish toreador's hat to college graduation instead of the usual mortar board! Alicia touched many lives with her special brand of kindness and helpfulness. She worked at DeVry University for 24 years in Financial Aide as a counselor. She took her responsibilities towards the groups of students with whom she worked very seriously. She wanted all of them to succeed. Her family of
husband Mark and daughter Jessica were most important to her, but she
always made time for her extended family. She was strong and brave
throughout her treatment for Lymphoma. She leaves behind many to cherish her memory and treasure the all too brief time they had with her.
