She graduated from Columbus East High School in 1975 and Indiana University Bloomington in 1992. She married Ken Stone April 18, 1996.
Susan was a Pharmacy Technician at CVS in Columbus and Bloomington. She remained in Bloomington after graduating from IU until moving to Bradenton, Florida in 2020. While still living in Bloomington, she was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She continued to attend weekly virtual Bible studies there from Florida where she also attended First Baptist of Bradenton.
Susan loved children; she enjoyed reading, playing shuffleboard and perusing thrift shops. She is fondly remembered by many as one of the sweetest and most selfless people—always the first to offer her time to assist others in need.
Survivors include her husband, Ken; son, Colin Stone; brothers, Victor Paul Weidman, John Mervyn (Stacey) Weidman, Jeffrey Leon (Bonnie) Weidman and sister, Michal Ellen (Ron) Hoskins; step-daughters, RaeAnne (Rob) Smith and Robyn Morton, step-son, Eric Stone, and grandchildren; Sierra (Jack) Hasely, Serena, Isabelle and Tyson Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and was anxiously awaiting the birth of her first great-grandson.
Susan was proceeded in death by her parents, Paul and Eunice Weidman; sisters, Karen Jane Myrick and Melody Ann Wallace.
Services will be held February 24 at Myers-Reed Chapel, 3729 25th Street, Columbus, IN 47203. Visitation from 10am- 1pm, Funeral at 1pm with graveside service to follow immediately, Pastor Jeremy Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.
