Marc was born September 11, 1951 in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Kenneth and Marjorie Arnholt. Throughout his life, Marc made his living farming with his family and working on cars. He had a knack for anything with wheels and could diagnose car problems almost instantly.
His real passion though, was building street rods. He had several street rods throughout his life, but his pride and joy was his 1947 Chevy pickup. Over the years, he built it, painted it, and customized it to be his dream street rod.
Marc’s daughters and grandchildren were the light of his life. He always said “I failed at a lot of things in my life, but at least I know I was a good dad.”
Marc is survived by his two daughters, Kimra (Ed) Sturgeon, and Derika Arnholt; grandchildren, Eli, Isabelle, and Isaac Sturgeon; his brothers, Jim (Barb Jones) Arnholt and Joe (Susan) Arnholt; his sisters, Jane Morris, Julie (Phil) Pokorny, and Carol (Garry) Phillips; several nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Rex Arnholt; and his daughter, Shana Arnholt.
A Funeral Service for Marc will be held Thursday, January 23 at 10 a.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel with Pastor Douglas Bauman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery.
