Jeanne T. Beatty, 89 years old, of Indianapolis, IN passed away August 26, 2012 at Community North Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren and great-children.
A reception and a celebration of her life with family and friends will be held at Myers-Reed Chapel, 3729 25th St., Columbus Indiana on Friday, September 7th at 1:00pm.
Jeanne was born August 1, 1923 in Dayton OH to Annette K. Test and Wilbur Test. She graduated from Shields High School in Seymour IN.
In 1947 she was married to Jack H. Beatty at her family home in Seymour. They were devoted to one another: holding hands through life and as she moved on to her passing.
Jeanne was a dedicated volunteer in Columbus as well as Indianapolis. A Gold Lady at Muscatatuck State Hospital, Crossroads Rehabilitation Center, Columbus Community Care Center and the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Jeanne was an active member and officer of Psi Iota Xi sorority.

Survivors include her husband Jack Beatty, daughters Susan Bell of Columbus, Nancy (Greg) Miller of Indianapolis, and son Jack (Carrie) Beatty of Indianapolis. Grandchildren Courtney Bell, Hillary Bell, Ellen Foster, Brady (Mallory) Miller, Kate Miller, Jacob (Amy) Beatty, Brooke (Torsten) Voss, Matt (Stephanie) Walkup, Christy Walkup and Michael Walkup, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Corrine and Don Carmichael, brother and sister-in-law Charles and Joyce Test.
