Donald A. "Don" Arnholt

Donald A. “Don” Arnholt, 73, ofColumbus, died at 5:29 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Don was born in Danville, Kentucky, June 13, 1938, the son of the late Arthur and Bette Wilson Arnholt.
He married Linda Schlehuser on August 1, 1959 at First United Methodist Church in Columbus.
Don was the owner and operator of Alert Alarm Company and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Clifty.
He was a graduate of St. Peters Lutheran School in 1952, a graduate of Columbus High School in 1956, and attended Indiana University from 1957 to 1959. He loved Big Band era music and sports, including football, IU basketball and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife, of Columbus; a daughter, Jody (Kevin) Tompkins of Hope; sons, Mark Arnholt, John Arnholt and Steve (Karah) Arnholt, all of Columbus; grandchildren, Erin Arnholt, Nick Arnholt, Audrey (Danny) Ross, Jesse Tompkins, Kevin Tompkins, Whitney Tompkins, Madison Arnholt, Kaden Arnholt and Morgan Arnholt; great-grandchildren, Charley Boesken, Chandler Arnholt, Chailey Arnholt, Jaxson Ross and Chayton Arnholt; and sisters, Lynda (Larry) Overholt of Aurora, Ohio, and Dee Dee (Tom) Wilson, of Columbus, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church Clifty with Pastor Doug Bauman officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery Clifty.
Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hathaway-Myers Chapel, 1022 Pearl St., and from 10:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.
