William Bascom Coleman, Sr. 1922- October 20, 2010 COLUMBUS, GA— William Bascom Coleman, Sr., age 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Graveside services will be held in Parkhill Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 23, 2010 with Rev. Mark Magoni officiating. Box 236 Ellerslie, Georgia 31807. Mr. Coleman was born in 1922 to the late Lester L. Coleman and Edith Howard Coleman. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII attaining the rank of First Sergeant. He was a public accountant for forty-seven years before retiring. Mr. Coleman was a previous member of Memorial Presbyterian Church in which his mother founded. He was a member of Ellerslie Methodist Church and he loved helping others. Mr. Coleman was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Aldona S. Coleman, a sister, Edith Storey and a son-in-law, Mike Coulter. Survivors include a daughter, Judith G. Coulter of Hartwell, GA; three sons and their wives, John B. and Winnie Coleman of Ellerslie, James L. and Sharon Coleman of Ellerslie and William B., Jr. and Becky Coleman of Columbus; a brother, Lester L. Coleman, Jr. of Hickory, NC; fourteen Grandchildren, twenty-seven Great-Grandchildren and a special niece and her husband, Kay and Bill Wessner of Tampa, FL.
