Tom Hasty

Columbus, Georgia- Tom Hasty, age 63, a lifelong resident of Columbus, died on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services with Masonic Rites are scheduled at Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus on Saturday, August 30, 2014, 3 p.m. with Reverend Michael Reeves officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 5-7 p.m.

Mr. Hasty, son of the late John Thomas Hasty and Estelle Neese Hasty, was born April 30, 1951 in Columbus. He was a member of Rose Hill Masonic Lodge #484; member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church, and a retired Maintenance Supervisor of Southern Phenix Textiles.

Mr. Hasty was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Hasty. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Helen E. Hasty of Columbus; two sons, Kevin Hasty of Columbus and Matthew Jason Hasty and his wife Amy of Clarksville, Tennessee; one brother, John E. Hasty and his wife Viki of Hogansville, Georgia; five grandchildren, Mary Katherine Hasty, John Thomas Hasty, Brett Adam Hasty, Helen Samantha Hasty, and Carter Jason Hasty; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends; and numerous Masonic brothers.
