Thomas Clyde Parsons

Arrangements under the direction of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA.Thomas C. Parsons, 68, of Columbus, GA, Passed away at his home November 30, 2016. The family will welcome guests for visitation Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. Funeral Service will be Monday, December 5, 2016 at 3:00 pm in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby with Reverend Terry Melton and Father Brian O’Shaughnessy co-officiating.

Mr. Parsons was born June 1, 1948 in Elizabethon, TN, to his late parents Lee and Margaret Trusler Parsons. Thomas was a woodworker who loved to repair and craft furniture. He loved to fish and keep it simple by using his cane pole. His passion was his family and gathering with them on special occasions. He was a loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother and Friend who will be missed by all.

Mr. Parsons was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Jeanet Parsons and Joyce Parsons. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years Kathy Parsons; daughter, Elizabeth (Phillip) Powell; sons, Thomas Lee (Keri) Parsons and Donald Leon (Kim) Parsons; sisters Delores (Dick) Pajares and Jo Bell Willson; brothers Donald (Janet) Parsons and Oscar (Nancy) Parsons; grandchildren, Phillip Powell, Jr., Christopher Powell, Jennis Powell, Shanon Holtzen, Timmy Holtzen, Noah Parsons, Camron Simmons, Miley Simmons, and Conner Parsons; great grandchildren, Nikki Miller, Rilynn Holtzen, and Logan Holtzen; nieces, nephews, other family members and many lifelong friends.
