Sarah E Thomas

Sarah Elizabeth Thomas, 94, of Phenix City, AL, passed away peacefully, December 23, 2015 surrounded by her family in the care of Columbus Hospice House. She was born October 15, 1921 to her late parents, J G and Willie Mae Stone in Columbus, GA. Ms. Sarah was Pentecostal by faith and loved gospel music, and reading her bible. She was an avid Braves Fan and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who she adored.

The family will receive guests for visitation Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 12:00 pm one hour prior to the 1:00 pm Celebration of Life Service in The Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA, followed by a private interment at Parkhill Cemetery, with Reverend George Norsworthy officiating.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by her husband Robert Frank Thomas; one brother, Robert Stone; and a sister, Mattie Fretwell. She is survived by two sons, Earl (Mitsy) Thomas of Phenix City, AL, and Frank (Betty) Thomas of Columbus; four grandchildren, Chris Thomas, Raymond Thomas, Brandi Thomas, and Brooke Turner; three great grandchildren, Carson Turner, Zoie Thomas, and Naomi Thomas; nieces, nephews, other family member, and many friends.
