Ruby Draper Phillips, 89, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 1:00PM until 3:00PM. A graveside service will be held at Parkhill Cemetery Monday, April 11, 2022 at 12:00PM.
Born on September 17, 1932, in Dahlgren, IL, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Dewey Jines and Sylvia Fern Cross Jines. Ruby enjoyed cooking, traveling, music and dancing. She was Methodist by faith and attended Midway Methodist Church before its closing. Ruby loved helping with fundraisers and telethons.
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert A. Draper, second husband, D.C. Phillips; two sons, Rick A. Draper, Danny Wayne Draper, and her daughter Janet Draper.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Robert E. Draper of Seale, Alabama, Patricia L. Draper of Austell, Georgia, Carolyn S. Benning of Melvern, Kansas, Rex A. Draper of Columbus, Georgia and Ron A. Draper of Columbus, Georgia; four grandchildren, Tabitha L. Draper of Dallas, Georgia, Josh Benning of Montana, David Draper of Columbus, and Rick Draper of Georgia; three great grandchildren, Taylor J. Foskey, McKenzie Draper and Logan Draper; siblings, Roy D. Jines of Forkland Alabama, Barbara Lyman of Denton, Texas and Donna Wagner of Phoenix, Arizona
