Ruby Foster

Ruby Foster, 86, of Columbus, GA, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, November 30, 2015 under the care of Gentiva Hospice. Mrs. Foster was born October 7, 1929 in Columbus to her late parents Clarence and Lilla Mae Etheridge.

She was a long time member of New Life (formerly Central) Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Foster was an avid reader who loved her family and visiting with them.

The family will receive guests for visitation Wednesday, December 2, 2015 5:00 -7:00 pm in The Wildwood Room Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 11:00 am in The Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby followed by interment at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Patrick O’Malley officiating.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 60 years, Marvin Foster, Sr.; daughter Naomi Granger; brother Clarence Etheridge, Jr; and sister Soffia E Ransom. She is survived by two sons, Marvin (Irene) Foster, Jr, and Isaac (Barbara) Foster; daughter Rebecca (Richard) Detwiler; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
