A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in the Edgewood Hall Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary at 11AM with visitation starting at 10AM.
Born on March 16, 1935 in Jackson, Tennessee, he was the son of the late George Henry Blalock and Eula Mae Warhurst Blalock. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954 until 1958 as an aircraft mechanic. After the Air Force, Robert began his career as a building contractor. He built many homes for families in the Phenix City area. Robert loved cars, going to car shows, auctions and even owned a used car lot years ago. He enjoyed buying old cars at auctions and fixing them. He and his wife enjoyed going to antique auctions, deep sea fishing, and to their beach home in Florida. Robert was a devoted Christian and attended Auburn Heights Baptist Church in Phenix City for 15 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Eula Blalock and seven siblings.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Rebecca Blalock; two sons, Scott and Eric Blalock; one sister, Georgine Iloff of Houston, TX.
