Columbus, Georgia- Richard Charles Storey, age 57 of Columbus, Georgia passed away Monday July 8, 2013.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 12, 2013 at 11: 00 am in the Chapel of Striffer- Hamby Mortuary Columbus with Reverend (Dr.) Ray Cummings officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Richard was the son of the late James W. Storey of Atlanta and Peggy S. Storey of Columbus. He was preceded in death by a brother, Travis E. Storey of Columbus.
Richard is survived by his wife, Sharon; a brother, Ken Storey and his wife Lisa of Athens; assisted care giver Jackie Wise (mother in law); four brothers in law, David Wise and his wife Barbara, Allen Wise and his wife Janet, James Wise, and Donnie Wise; sister in law, Sheila Thatch and her husband Steve; aunt, Linda Race and her husband Jim; several nieces and nephews, a loving extended family and a host of friends.
He was a graduate of University of Georgia and a long term employee of Total Systems of Columbus.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
