Patricia Ann Malloy, 81 years old, passed away on November 13, 2021, from natural causes. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, James Hardin Fulkerson and Georgia C. Fulkerson, her husband, Donald Roger Malloy, and her brother James (Jimmy) Fulkerson. She is survived by her son, Frank James Malloy (Melissa), her daughter, Kim Sue Malloy, her nephew Craig Fulkerson, her niece Debbie Fulkerson, her grandchildren: Blade Commander (Sydney), Alexis Malloy, Ansley and Collin Cason, and her great grandchildren: Slade and Knox Commander.
Patricia was born, November 15, 1939, in Owensboro, Kentucky. Patricia had a successful career as a Real Estate Investor. She met Don in Davy, FL on a horse farm. They fell in love and were married on July 4, 1957. Don served in the military and while they were stationed in Germany, they adopted Frank. They adopted Kim while Don was stationed in South Korea. The military is what brought Don and Patricia to Columbus, GA. Once Don retired, they decided to stay and finish raising their family here. They built their dream home in Ellerslie, GA. Together, they shared a passion for horses and had a dream to start a refuge for abused and neglected horses. Shortly after Don’s passing, a non-profit, Begin Again Farms was established in memory of him. It is an organization devoted to the care and rehabilitation of abused and needy horses.
She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and friend. Patricia loved life to the fullest and will be remembered by her incredible smile that lit up any room she came in as well as her gracious heart. She was a faithful member of Bethesda Baptist Church and committed volunteer to the food bank.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021, 5 – 7 PM EST at Striffler Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 10 AM EST at Striffler Hamby’s Chapel followed by a graveside service at Ft. Benning.
