Mary Jeanette Griffith

A visitation of family and friends for Mary will be held Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia.

Jeanette was born April 9, 1936 in Columbus, Georgia to the late George Smith Bass and Mary Catherine Todd Bass. She was a lifelong resident of Columbus and the owner of her own beauty salon for over 30 years. Jeanette was a member of Living Grace Church and a former member of Fairview Baptist. Jeanette volunteered at the Columbus Rape Crisis Center and St. Francis Hospital for many years. She loved line dancing at the local nursing homes and enjoyed playing piano. Jeanette loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. Her husband Leo Griffith and a son Michael Musselman preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter Lynn Patterson and husband Mike of Columbus, grandchildren, Kimberly Moody (Robert), Kathryn Montgomery (Craig), Makayla Patterson and Jacob Patterson, eight great grandchildren, a sister, Gloria Hodge (Randy), two brothers, Cecil Bass and Larry Bass (Jeanette).

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Columbus Hospice.
