Kenneth Dean Wilson, age 76, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. Kenneth was born December 27, 1941 in Urbana Illinois. He is the son of the late Curtis J. Wilson and Helen Maxine Loppe Wilson.
In April of 1964 Mr. Wilson joined the U.S. Army and spent over 20 years faithfully serving his country. October 11, 1969 he married the love of his life, Donna Marie Wilson, in Florida. Together they raised three sons. Kenneth was an active member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed coaching St. Anne’s Men’s Softball Team and supporting his favorite baseball teams which were the New York Yankees and the Atlanta Braves.
He was preceded in death by his parents. His survivors include his loving wife, Donna Wilson; three sons, Daniel Wilson, Kenneth Wilson Jr. and John Wilson; three grandchildren, Kailee Wilson, Mia Wilson and Addison Wilson.
A Visitation of Family and Friends will be held Monday, September 17, 2018 from 10:00 am- 11:30 am in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral Services with full Military Honors will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery at 12:30 pm.
